WSDAC has an expectation for members, volunteers, and officials to ensure a safe, respectful and positive environment for both people and equines.
The purpose of this code is to ensure a safe and positive environment for horse’s, member’s, volunteer’s, official’s and Board of Director’s within WSDAC. There is an expectation that all members and affiliates of WSDAC to uphold this code in all interactions including sanctioned events and all correspondence.
WSDAC promotes inclusion, kindness and compassion towards horse’s and member’s. WSDAC has a zero tolerance for the following prohibited behaviour at sanctioned events and within WSDAC interactions:
Physical Abuse
Verbal Abuse
Discrimination
Bullying
Harassment
Violence
Sexual Misconduct
Neglect or Abuse of a Horse
False Reports or Accusations
Failure to follow WSDAC Rules
Failure to adhere to safety protocols
Substance Abuse
Unsportsmanlike Behaviour
WSDAC promotes an inclusive and safe environment for the sport of Western Dressage. Failure of a participant to uphold this can result in disciplinary actions depending on the severity. This is a zero tolerance code of conduct.
Violations will be handled and disciplinary actions will be decided upon by WSDAC Board of Directors.
